MESsy philosophy & its users expectations
A manufacturing execution system must contribute towards increasing performance! In doing so, the MES incooperates one or more of the following:
Standardisation groups involved in MESsy issues
MESA (Manufacturing Execution System Association) since 1990
These fellows were invloved in the bring-up the notion of multiple tiers required by the production management system of tomorrow, as if it were a beast. These multiple tiers concerns:
This body contributes the ISA S95 MES standard.
Verein Deutscher Ingenieure (VDI)
Working on issuing a guideline tailored to the particular concerns of European manufacturers.
